After navigating the lesion with a Viper flex wire, a non-compliant balloon was utilised to create optimal space for the orbital atherectomy device. Using calibrated rotations of up to 80,000 RPM, our team meticulously modified the calcified plaque, preparing the artery for the deployment of a second-generation Xience Sierra stent. Importantly, the procedure was completed over a single wire, reducing potential complications and minimising contrast use to safeguard the patient’s renal function.
