Why spend money on a CT when I can just get my ECG and a cholesterol test?

ECG shows rhythm abnormalities caused by low blood flow. Treadmill test shows low blood flow when the heart is overworked. Lipid profile shows the tendency of your vessels to build up a plaque. CT shows you a direct picture of what is inside your vessels, what percentage it is blocked, as well as what kind of block it is. The CT CAG essentially gives the same information a cardiologist gets from an invasive angiogram in the Cath lab to make a decision about the requirement of a stent.
